Continually experimenting with new ideas and techniques — Reconstructing, Developing, Modernising.
Over the weekend I was heading to the bank to clear up a few odds and ends. My iPod was happily pumping out some live Genesis from the Three Sides Live era, and as I approached the teller I popped out my earphones the musical soundscape changed to some Phil Collins being played as canned music. Later in the day at a local supermarket I was serenaded by Peter Gabriel from 1986.
The music which used to be an alien experience has how become something acceptable to middle aged people as they queue to get and spend money. Maybe one of the benefits of making it to middle age is to occasionally be reminded of the music I enjoyed when I was a teenager, much of which I still enjoy today.
